I managed to complete the Python Quickstart to setup auth on a Google Cloud project. This will allow me to create some scripts that interact with my gmail.

I feel like this is a milestone. It opens up the path to some programming ideas I've had for awhile. I find I will stick to a project if it is practical and will get some use from it. Even if I don't use the finished project as much as I imagined, it still helps me to stick with the project to the end.

The Google Cloud interface feels kind of clunky and overwhelming. I'd look up a book for it, but I have a feeling the UI changes somewhat frequently.
